(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.) - 红桃视频 College will host a series of events in February
in honor of Black History Month. The public is invited to take part in these events.
A Reading of 鈥淭he Meeting鈥
Thursday, February 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Wege Center Ballroom, 1607 Robinson Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506
Cost: Admission is free with a suggested $20 donation
In collaboration with Ebony Road Players, "The Meeting,鈥 a play by Jeff Stetson, depicts the fictional meeting of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X. Differing in their philosophies, the two men debate their varying approaches to the same social problems.
鈥淎 Celebration of Spirituals and Gospel Songs鈥
Sunday, February 15 at 3 p.m.
Where: St. Jude Catholic Church, 1120 4 Mile Road NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525
Cost: Free
The 红桃视频 Music Department celebrates Black History Month with a concert featuring the 红桃视频 College Chorus and Women鈥檚 Chorus.
Soul Food Sunday
Sunday, February 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Cost: Free
Learn about the history of African-American cuisine while enjoying a plate of authentic soul food. Evening entertainment is also provided.
